The FIFA 15 Career Mode Team Wonderkids You Should Buy
FIFA 15 Wonderkids, these players will all grow to a rating of 75 or above and often higher, so you're guaranteed to make money on your investment as well as a potentially higher rating if you give them the right playing time or send them out on loan. Let's begin.
GK: Simone Scuffet – Udinese (Rating 71; Potential 87)
The Udine-born youth product has been earning rave reviews and his 6 clean sheets in 16 appearances for the team have earned him many plaudits. Just 18, he already has 81 reflexes and 73 diving. If you want to have a guaranteed Gigi Buffon in your FIFA team for just £3.3m, this is your chance. I mean, he's already got his own best saves compilation (complete with horrific trance music)…
CB: Jonathan Tah – Fortuna Dusseldorf on loan from Hamburg SV (Rating 68; Potential 83)
The 18-year-old is already over 6ft3 and looks absolutely enormous for a player his age. What will get FIFA Career Mode enthusiasts excited most is he's already more than acceptable pace rating of 61 and physical stat of 71. The boy is going to be a machine and can already help you out for cover at the back, with his height useful at defending the now trademark defensive crosses. Get potentially the best physical defender in the game for £2.5m.
CB: Marian Sarr – Borussia Dortmund (Rating 63; Potential 81)
Definitely the classier of the two in this centre-back partnership. Sarr is bound to become an elegant modern centre-back, with the ability to play those deadly long diagonal through balls when the opponent decides to go for a high-pressure system. He's also available for just under £1.9m, which is a snip.
LB: DeAndre Yedlin – Seattle Sounders on loan from Tottenham Hotspur (Rating 68; Potential 75)
No way is Yedlin ever going to be the best left-back in the game, but his physical stats are astonishing. Already he possesses 93 acceleration, 93 sprint speed and 90 stamina along with, crucially, 70 strength.
If you want to play attacking football, he will provide a constant threat and make crucial recovery tackles all game long (see below). If you're starting with a lower league team you could play him straight off the bat, as Seattle will sell (not in the first transfer window) for just over £2 million.
RB: Lukas Klostermann – Red Bull Leipzig (Rating 60; Potential 77)
A mammoth 17 point growth is on the cards if you pick up this little-known defensive machine. The best thing about Klostermann on FIFA is that he progresses incredibly quickly; adding almost ten points to his rating within a couple of seasons. He's also available for absolute peanuts.
CM: Will Hughes – Derby (Rating 70; Potential 85)
You read it right. Will Hughes is potentially 85 rated on FIFA. Wowzers. The “Albino Messi”, as he has been dubbed by some Derby fans, is good at everything, but like most CM's he takes a while to get going. Your best bet is to send him out on loan where he will get more games, unless you're playing at a lower league level, in which case bring him straight in and watch him run the show. Available for £4.5m, he's the first name on the list.
CM: Youri Tielemans – RSC Anderlecht (Rating 73; Potential 88)
One of the hottest young prospects in world football, Tielemans also features in our 15 top Football Manager Wonderkids article. Tielemans is basically an Ilkay Gundogan (from FIFA 14) in waiting. Again, he develops slowly because he's a CM but he's already good and mobile enough to take part in midfield for a bottom-half team in the top flight.
Anderlecht are surprisingly willing to let him go for just £7m so don't hesitate to pounce.
CAM: Fares Bahlouli – Olympique Lyonnaise (Rating 65; Potential 84)
Most people will be going for Alen Halilovic in the hole but the 17 -year-old has just 45 stamina and 30 strength. He's also a pain to buy. A much better option is Fares Bahlouli, who is 19 but already boasts 80 dribbling, 73 ball control and very solid physical stats (including a huge 78 strength). You can get him for just £1.8m and with that you get four star skills. Bargain.
LW: Kinglsey Coman – Juventus (Rating 67; Potential 83)
Chances are if you play Ultimate Team, you already know about Kingsley Coman. Quite simply, he's going to be the fastest player in the game. Already with 89 acceleration and 91 speed, he also possesses good ball control stats. Areas of concern are the 3-star skills and poor finishing, but those will improve (slightly) and won't matter when he's quicker than even Yedlin.
One issue is he's just joined Juve, so you'll have to wait at least one transfer window before strong-arming the Turin-based club into a £3m deal.
RW: Patrick Roberts – Fulham (Rating 67; Potential 83)
Hotly tipped to take the Championship by storm this year, Patrick Roberts is a 17-year-old winger who loves to cut in and cause havoc. Perfect for FIFA then. Incredibly balanced stats across the board make him a very attractive proposition, although his 26 strength is a huge area of concern. If you don't fancy the gamble, then aim for Saido Beharino, who has pace and strength and can stick the ball in the onion bag.
ST: Richairo Zivkovic – Ajax (Rating 69; Potential 86)
Many will veer clear of Zivkovic because he doesn't have "PAAAAACE", but he's pretty quick enough considering our side. A complete striker at 18, his finishing is already at 77 and his jumping at 72, which means you'll be raking it in from set-pieces. Other teams love buying rounded strikers in career mode, so you'll be sure to find a suitor if he doesn't quite fit your system.
