FUT 15 TOTW Predictions - Week 9
Goalkeeper
Brad Guzan - GK - 78 OVR
Guzan is one of the most under rated keepers around and he showed that this weekend after Aston Villa drew 0-0 with West Ham. Had it not been for Guzan Aston Villa would have lost heavily. He made a total of six saves with the majority of them being world class saves.
Defenders
Daryl Janmaat - RB - 75 OVR
Janmaat assisted both of Newcastles goals as they beat WBA 2-0 to make it five wins on the bounce. Alternatively Coloccini could make the side after scoring the second however for me Janmaat was the best player on the pitch.
Sebastian Prödl - CB - 75 OVR
Prodl scored and kept a clean sheet as Werder Bremen record back to back wins after failing to win before hand. Bremen came out 2-0 victors against Stuttgart and with not many other defensive options I can see it being enough this week.
Stephan Lichtsteiner - RB - 77 OVR
I think that Lichtseiner is the favourite from Juventus this week but after they demolished Parma 7-0 I wouldn't be that surprsed to see more than one IF from Juventus this week. Lichtsteiner is my pick however after he scored one and assisted another two.
Midfielders
Landon Donovan - LM - 77 OVR
Lets have another attempt at predicting the first SIF then. Donovan scored a hat trick and claimed an assist as Galaxy smashed RSL 5-0 in their MLS play off game. Last year these games did not count however Henry got one from last week so Donovan should get one this week.
Toni Kroos - CM - 85 OVR
With the limited gold midfielder options this week I think that Kroos might sneak in after he claimed a goal and assist as Madrid beat Vallecano by 5 goals to 1. Kroos was Marca's MOTM with a 7.5 rating.
Leonardo - CAM - 75 OVR
Leonardo claimed a goal and assist for Jeonbuk as they inevitably won the league. It was only a matter of time before they were crowned as champions but seeing as they are now officially the champs I can see Jeonbuk making the side this week.
Nabil Fékir - CAM - 70 OVR
Silver users are set for a treat this wek as Fekir looks set to receive an IF after scoring two of Lyon's three goals as they beat Guinamp 3-1 at home. Fekir received an 8/10 on L'equipe for his performance which will hopefully be enough for him this week.
Lucas - RW - 82 OVR
I have taken a punt with Lucas this week after he scored the opening goal for PSG as they won their crucial game against Marseille 2-0. Lucas was the MOTM from the game and a lot of the time when two top teams clash an IF is produced and hopefully I will be right with Lucas this week.
Forwards
Shane Long - ST - 75 OVR
Long came off the bench with the score at 0-0 to score both of Southamptons goals to give them a 2-0 home win against Leicester City. The two goals Long scored mean that Southampton remain 4 points off leader Chelsea to maintain their impressive start to the season.
Thomas Müller - ST - 86 OVR
Muller found the net three times as Munich yet again won heavily. This time Frankfurt fell victim to Munich's domination as they won 4-0 away from home.
Substitutes
Fabricio - GK - 70 OVR
For the third week in a row I am predicting a BBVA silver keeper to be selected as the IF for the bench. This time Fabricio is the selection after making six saves along with a penalty save as Depotivo drew 0-0 with Cordoba.
Jeff Hendrick - CM - 70 OVR
I fully expect a Derby IF this week after they destroyed fellow high flyers Wolves 5-0. Either Hendrick or Russell will receive the IF after both scoring twice. I decided to go with Hendrick over Russell down to positions though.
Paweł Olkowski - RM - 67 OVR
In one of the most exciting games this week Olkowski scored twice and assisted another as Koln played out a seven goal thriller against Hoffenheim. Koln won the game 4-3 and that was largely down to Olkowski's contribution.
Tobias Werner - LM - 73 OVR
Just like Olkowski Werner also scored twice and assisted one. This time for Augsburg as they beat Paderborn 3-0. He received the top mark on Kicker (1) which should put him straight into the side this week.
Yordy Reyna - ST - 64 OVR
When it comes to midweek games EA are nothing short of unpredictable. I have decided to include Reyna however after he scored a hat trick on Wednesday during Grodig's 4-2 win against Neustadt. If EA decide not to include mid week games I would expect to see Dabbur feature instead.
Davis Curiale - ST - 63 OVR
Curiale came off the bench to score a second half hat trick. Quite often players that come off the bench are ignored however Ii think that Curiale should make the side with very little competition.
Nicolás Castillo - ST - 70 OVR
Castillo scored a hattrick for Club Brugge as they cruised to a 5-0 win against Westerlo. Duarte also claimed a goal and kept a clean sheet but Castilo is the obvious choice.
